Семантико-синтаксична структура речення з вторинним предикатом (на матеріалі українського дієприслівника та французького герундія)

Abstract

Thesis for a Candidate Degree in Philology: specialty – 10.02.17 – Comparative-Historical and Typological Linguistics. – International Humanitarian University, Odessa, 2015. The thesis implements a system description of the semantic potential of the sentences with a Ukrainian adverbial participle and a French gerund from the standpoint of the semantic-syntactic language level. The semantic-syntactic functioning of a Ukrainian adverbial participle and a French gerund as a secondary predicate in a simple non-elementary sentence has been substantiated. The secondary adverbial participial and gerundial predicates classification has been produced. Casual, conditional-consequent, concessive semantics of the comparable categories have been described; taxis semantics of secondary predicates have been modeled in the thesis. The criteria for the selection of the identical and special features of the adverbial participle and the gerund as a secondary predicate have been developed. The subject actant classification with regard to a secondary predicate has been suggested. The semantic-syntactic models of the valency potential sentence with a secondary predicate in the comparable languages have been also represented. The common and distinctive features of the secondary adverbial participial and gerundial predicates functioning in the comparable languages have been determined.
