Abstract: Small businesses are critical to the economic vitality of European nations, contributing significantly to employment, innovation, and GDP. However, the regulatory environment in which these businesses operate varies widely across Europe, influencing their ability to thrive. This study examines the regulatory frameworks of four major European economies to understand how differing approaches affect small business success. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, integrating quantitative data analysis with qualitative insights from interviews [1-4]. The quantitative component involves analyzing data on small business performance, regulatory compliance costs, and economic outcomes. The qualitative component includes interviews with policymakers, small business owners, and experts to gain insights into the practical implications of regulatory policies.
