Abstract:	The article addresses the issue of historical conflicts in bilateral Polish-German relations. In particular, it points out that the strategy chosen in the early 90s before the implementation of bilateral relations led to the exclusion of historical issues from the agenda, therefore in the late 90s they became a source of political conflicts in mutual relations.
