Кодифікація релігійної лексики в новій редакції "Українського правопису" (2019)

Abstract

У статті розглянуто внормування релігійної лексики в новій редакції «Українського правопису» 2019 року. Виявлено такі позитивні тенденції: нова редакція зберегла ті релігійні назви, які були в попередній; доповнила ілюстративний матеріал у багатьох параграфах словами релігійного змісту; додала примітки, які стосуються правопису суто релігійних номінацій; представила в окремому параграфі вживання великої літери у назвах, пов’язаних із релігією, суттєво доповнивши, деталізувавши, краще систематизувавши правила, що полегшує користування працею; використала для ілюстрації ортографічних і пунктуаційних норм речення із текстів релігійного стилю. З’ясовано, що укладачі нової редакції «Українського правопису» певною мірою врахували рекомендації фахівців щодо правопису релігійної лексики, демонструють прогрес у її кодифікації. Стверджується, що це зумовлено розвитком і вивченням релігійного стилю сучасної української мови, активною діяльністю релігійних видавництв та інтернет-ресурсів, загалом зростанням ролі релігії, церкви в житті суспільства та запитом на внормування такої лексики. Простежено зміни, запропоновані в новій редакції, що торкнулися написання аналізованої групи лексики. Зауважено, що згідно з порадами фахівців і церковною практикою потрібно було також змінити правопис інших релігійних найменувань – переважно богословських термінів іншомовного походження та вживання великої букви в офіційних назвах церков. Водночас висловлено побажання доповнити прикладами релігійних номінацій низку параграфів, додати кілька правил до правопису власних релігійних назв; більшою мірою представити різножанрові релігійні тексти. Звернено увагу на ті номінації з релігійним змістом, які не відповідають нормам сучасної української мови або йдуть урозріз із рекомендаціями фахівців. Tsyperdiuk O. Codification of theological vocabulary in the new edition of "Ukrainian orthography" (2019) Summary. The article considers the regulation of theological vocabulary in the new edition of "Ukrainian orthography" in 2019. The following positive tendencies were revealed: the new edition kept the theological terms that were in the previous one; supplemented the illustrative material in many paragraphs with words of theological content; added notes regarding the spelling of purely theological titles; presented in a separate paragraph the use of the capital letter in titles related to religion, significantly supplementing, detailing and better systematizing the rules that facilitate the use of the new edition; used the sentences from religious texts to illustrate orthographic and punctuation rules. It was found that the authors of the new edition of "Ukrainian orthography" to some extent took into account the recommendations of experts on the writing of theological vocabulary, demonstrating progress in its codification. It is due to the development and study of the theological style of the modern Ukrainian language, the active work of theological publishers and Internet resources, the overall growing role of religion, the church in society, and the demand for regulation of such vocabulary. The changes proposed in the new edition regarding the writing of the analyzed vocabulary group are traced. It was noted that according to the advice of experts and church practice, it was also necessary to change the orthography of other religious titles – mainly theological terms of foreign origin and the use of the capital letter in the official names of churches. At the same time, a desire was expressed to supplement a number of paragraphs with examples of religious titles, to add some rules to the orthography of theological proper names; to present more theological texts of various genres. The titles with theological content that do not meet the standards of the modern Ukrainian language or contradict the recommendations of experts were highlighted.
